Red heritage raspberries - a gift from Jen

Received 3 dormant Red Heritage plants from Jen on January 29, 2009.

Unknown variety from Betsy on March 4, 2009

Plant 2 ft apart in sunny location with little wind. Trellis.

Everbearer.

Cut canes back to the ground after harvest to get one bigger fall crop. Will produce two smaller seasonal crops if canes if allowed to fruit on second year canes (summer crop).

Fert in late winter if necessary.

Trees - purchasing

According to UNCE (University of Nevada Cooperative Ext.) it is best to purchase trees from nurseries located in regions with similar climates. For Northern Nevada that would mean Eastern Oregon, Eastern Washington, or Idaho.
